Bayside Council manage a central registration process for 20 kindergartens in the Bayside area. The central process runs between 1 May and 30 June each year and enrolment applications must be made directly to Bayside Council.
Applications received after 30 June are placed on a Council wait list and are held until the last round of offers are made. If a place is available at the kindergarten/s of choice an offer will be made, otherwise your details are passed directly to the kindergarten to be placed onto their wait lists.
Council undergo three rounds of enrolment offers commencing 1 August and ending mid September. Although Council contact families directly with an offer of enrolment, families respond directly to the kindergarten of their choice to accept or decline of the offer.
Weighted criteria apply to each enrolment application. For detailed information pertaining to the central enrolment process visit www.bayside.vic.gov.au or call 9599 4755
Outside of the Central Enrolment period, St Johns Kindergarten enrolment enquiries can be made directly to the St Johns Kindergarten Enrolment Officer.
If you have missed the enrolment application lodgement period with Council you are still able to contact the kindergarten directly and your child’s details can be placed onto a waitlist. St Johns Kindergarten is unable to confirm a child’s enrolment until all offers have been made by Council and the number of remaining places has been confirmed.
If you are interested in enrolling your child at St Johns Kindergarten we encourage you to visit the kindergarten with your child to meet our educators and to view our facilities. Visits to the kindergarten can be coordinated by the St Johns Kindergarten Enrolment Officer. We hold tours of the kindergarten on an as needs basis so please give us a call to arrange a time that it mutually suitable – we would love to show you around our wonderful building and large grounds.
