4 Year Old Group
To be eligible for 4 year old kindergarten children must turn 4 years of age by the 30th April in the year of attendance.
We offer two full long days for our four year funded old groups. Families are to provide their preferences for days at enrolment and we endeavour to provide each family with their first preference. Choices of days are either Monday/Tuesday; Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Thursday. If the kindergarten has spaces available from Term 2 onwards then we offer our remaining free places to our kindergarten families to purchases as an additional unfunded day. If this is something that your family is interested in please let us know.
3 Year Old Group
To be eligible for 3 year old kindergarten children must turn 3 years of age by the end of January in the year of attendance. If the kinder is not full, we may accept children who are three by the end of April.
Time: 8:30 am – 1:30 pm (5 hours)
Fees apply for both the three and four year old kindergarten sessions at our kindergarten.
The Department of Education and Training provides per capita funding as a contribution towards the cost of operating the 4 year old kindergarten program. There is no funding for 3 year old kindergarten programs.
Despite government funding for 4 year old kindergarten places there is still a shortfall between what is received and the cost of operating our kindergarten which is why fees are necessary.
3 year old (5 hours per week per term) – $450
4 year old (15 hours per week funded per term) – $530
4 year old – Unfunded additional day per term – $675 if available
Incursion/Excursion Levy – One off fee of $40
Fees are not applicable for Concession Card and Pension Card holders – the Enrolment Officer can provide further details when enrolling your child. Once enrolled you will receive an invoice from the St Johns Committee for the designated fee for your child/ren and fees are collected at the start of each term. Payment of fees is made directly to the kindergarten.
St Johns Kindergarten charges a non-refundable $100 enrolment fee.
